Pearly penile papules or Hirsuties coronae glandis are tiny round lesions (1 – 3mm in size) that occur under the gland or head of the penis. They form in a string like formation hence the name “Pearly”. They are white to pinkish in colour and can occur in 1 or multi layers under the gland of the penis.
This skin condition has proven to be quite common in men. These bumps are not transmitted through sexual activity and are not a sexually transmitted infection (STI), this condition is completely harmless.
Genital Warts/Lesions
Genital warts are growths on the skin of the genital area. They are caused by certain types of the human papilloma virus (HPV). Genital warts symptoms are flesh-colored, soft-to-the-touch bumps on the skin that may look like the surface of a cauliflower. They often grow in more than one place and may cluster in large masses. Genital warts usually are painless, but they may itch.
Treatment:
The Ultra Pulse CO2 laser safely and effectively removals all types of genitalia lesions without disrupting the normal surrounding tissues – as it vapourises the tissues there is no excessive bleeding – allowing for a quick healing time, a light crusting forms over the area which flakes off over the next week or so revealing a clear scar free area. The Ultra Pulse CO2 laser removes the entire head and root of the lesion in 1 session. Local anaesthetic can be applied and the procedure can take from 30 minutes to an hour to complete depending on the amount of lesions that needs to be removed.
